On our way!

We got up this morning, finished packing  up the car and were on the road by 9:45am! 

We took our traditional picture under the ferry tree before we left:

We had a few stops to make, we met H for a farewell coffee and then were on our way! 

The floor of the backseat is full of rocks! (This is only half of them!) 

Our first stop was in Gil’s Bend. One just can’t resist a dinosaur on the side of the road.

We left our first rock! 

A bit further down the road we came across Painted Rock Road. How could we not leave a few rocks here?!

We got to our friend, Megan’s house in San Diego in good time and met our friend Diane for dinner! We celebrated Taco Tuesday at Del Sur Mexican Cantina. The tacos were amazing and the staff here were super friendly and responsive! We grabbed some lottery tickets on our way back to the house and headed home so Diane could paint a rock.  

Our ticket was a winner so all in all it was a great day! 

We needed to pick up Megan,Max and Haylee at the airport. We got there a bit early and hung out at Harbor Island enjoying the view until Thor flight arrived. This picture doesn’t do it justice!

We had a great time catching up and Cat was super excited to see her friends!
