We started the day in North San Diego at the Compassion Experiment.

The premise of the event was that they would show children the living experiences in a 3rd world countries. We were given headsets that were narrated by a child and we actually were able to step into their homes and see their poor living conditions. Although this had potential to be an eye opening experience for the kids, it soon became obvious that it was a sales pitch for donating money to their religious foundation and also to sponsor a child. At $39/month with no cheaper option unfortunately this was outside of my budget. All in all,  Cat enjoyed the experience and missed the marketing angle and I feel like it was a positive experience for her.

We left and went to Get Air where we burned off some serious energy while jumping on the trampolines!

After an hour of jumping we visited my high school friend Mariah and her lovely family. It was great to see her and catch up!

We left there and went to the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge.  It was so fun to walk across it and feel it move and bounce under your feet!

On our way back to Megan’s we stopped by the first studio that H and I ever rented. It was 525 square feet and right on the flight path of the San Diego Airport. It was fun for her to see that part of our history!

We drove home, picked up Megan and the kids and went and saw the movie Captain Undetpants which the kids absolutely loved but I thought was horrible!

We went home and packed up because the next chapter of our adventure starts in the morning.
